White Vinegar

 

New Zealand premium white vinegar made with pure water from the Canterbury Plains.

Naturally crafted quality White Vinegar.

Perfect for salad dressings, marinades, chutneys and pickles.

Recipes

 

 

 

Sweet & Sour Sauce

2/3 cup TasteMaker White Vinegar

1 cup sugar

4 tablespoons of cornflour

4 tablespoons soy sauce

1 1/3 cups water

2 cups finely chopped onion

1 tablespoon finely chopped ginger

Place the sugar, vinegar, water, soy sauce, and cornflour in a pan and bring to the boil. 

Add the onion and ginger, boil for 1 minute, stir until thickened.  Serve hot.

This may be made in advance and reheated.

Pour over chicken, meatballs, or vegetables, etc

 

 

All Natural Lemon Flavoured Vinegar

2 large lemons

2 cups of TasteMaker White Vinegar

Peel the top layer of rind from a lemon using a potato peeler.  Put the peel into a hot, clean, dry, jar. Bring vinegar to the boil.

Cool  the vinegar slightly then fill the jar, seal and leave for a few weeks to allow the flavour to develop.

Remove lemon rind and discard. The lemon flavoured vinegar can be used as a chicken marinade, or in risottos or vinaigrettes.

 

 

A Natural Cleaning Product

TasteMaker Distilled White Vinegar is the chef’s white vinegar due to its pure manufacturing process. However, TasteMaker Distilled White Vinegar can also be used as a natural cleaner.

As a natural cleaner it is an alternative to harsh and toxic cleaners and chemicals.

Mix 1/2 cup of Tastemaker White vinegar with 1 cup water.  Use to clean microwaves, bathroom tiles, kitchen surfaces, windows, glasses and mirrors.

Remove bathtub and tile film buildup by wiping the surface with undiluted TasteMaker White Vinegar
